PRAYER

RHYTHMS OF PRAYER: 

In a quiet space set aside for prayer, attached to a welcoming space for community connection.

Arrive and leave in quietness. You will see clear sign on the door with times of led prayer. Each session will be explain clearly and simply what we are about to do. Each session lasts 15 mins. Everyone is welcome to join us every Friday from 10-2pm. 

Morning Prayer ( from psalm 103)

Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me bless His Holy name .( speak out His name , bless Him )

Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits .( begin to list the benefits , blessings and gifts he has given today)

He forgives all your sins ( let Him search your heart for any attitudes etc that you do not need to carry into the day. ask for forgiveness)

He heals all your diseases. He redeems your life from the pit . ( pray for anyone in need of healing , rescuing, redeeming…situations close to home and around the world)

He crowns you with love and compassion ( sit quietly and receive His love for you today . Be filled with His compassion for others )

at start or end of session :Daily reading .Psalm of the week + meditation ( see renew)

Midday Prayer (Ps 46 v10,11 )

Be still and know that I am God …encourage stillness, calm breathing/posture etc

READING …read consistently through a gospel …a few verses a session

Our Father in heaven Honoured be Your name

(speak out praise to Him )

Your Kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven (pray for Him to reign in the earth)

Give us today our daily bread

(tell Him what you need)

And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us (confess, receive forgiveness, forgive)

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil

(ask for His leading and His deliverance today)

For Yours is the KIngdom, the power and the glory Forever and ever, Amen

Evening Prayer

Be thankful for the day that has gone.

In what have you seen the love and compassion of God today? ( speak it out and begin to thank Him)

In what have you not seen His love and compassion? Where it is your fault, confess it and receive forgiveness. Where it is someone else’s troubles lay them down at the cross.

What have you learnt from the good and the hard parts of this day?

Speak blessing over all those you have encountered today and for each other.
